Our Story
What is Akaushi beef? Akaushi (also known as Red Wagyu) is a Japanese heritage breed prized for its exceptional marbling, tenderness, and rich flavor. MC Farms raises Akaushi cattle with care, delivering a premium beef experience you won't find at the grocery store.
How does the deposit system work? When you place an order for a Quarter, Half, or Whole Akaushi Beef, the price shown is a deposit to reserve your beef. The remaining balance is due at pickup, based on the final hanging weight of your animal.
How much beef will I get?
- Quarter beef: approximately 100–130 lbs of finished cuts
- Half beef: approximately 200–260 lbs of finished cuts
- Whole beef: approximately 400–520 lbs of finished cuts
Exact weights vary by animal.
How do I customize my cuts? After your order is placed, we'll contact you to provide a customization form where you can specify how you'd like your beef cut and packaged.
What about delivery? We offer delivery within 100 miles driving distance of our location for an additional fee. Contact us for delivery pricing and availability in your area. Pickup is also available at our facility in Dublin GA.
How long does beef last in the freezer? Vacuum sealed beef stored in a properly functioning freezer will last 2–3 years while maintaining excellent quality. We recommend consuming within 12 months for peak flavor.
Is the beef vacuum sealed? Yes! All of our beef is professionally processed and vacuum sealed to lock in freshness and flavor.
From Service to Stewardship
M.C. Farms is more than a cattle farm—it's the continuation of a family legacy that began in 1957.
My wife and I are proud to raise premium Akaushi-cross and Angus-cross cattle in Middle Georgia, combining generations of agricultural tradition with the values of hard work, integrity, and service. As a veteran of both the United States Marine Corps and United States Air Force, I learned the importance of discipline, commitment, and attention to detail—principles that guide everything we do on our farm today.
Before returning to agriculture, I spent several years in the restaurant industry. That experience gave me a unique perspective on what families expect when they purchase beef: exceptional quality, consistency, and value. It also taught me that great beef starts long before it reaches the table—it begins with how the animals are raised.
Together, my wife and I are committed to raising cattle the right way. Our animals are cared for daily on our family farm, where they have access to quality forage, clean water, and a low-stress environment. We take pride in producing beef with outstanding flavor, tenderness, and marbling while maintaining the values that have defined our family for generations.
Today, we offer locally raised beef directly to families throughout Middle Georgia through quarter, half, and whole beef purchases, as well as individual cuts when available. By selling directly to our customers, we're able to build relationships with the people who enjoy our products and provide transparency about where their food comes from.
Thank you for supporting our family farm. We look forward to serving your family for years to come.
